Goralski Dances - Highlander
Highlander culture is as distinctive as it is rich. Its architecture, music, paintings, and colorful costumes are highly original, reflecting the unique environment in which they were created. Most Highlanders know how to play the violin, an instrument whose lifting sound, highly accentuated in the Goralska Suite (Highlanders Suite), ideally captures the emotional atmosphere of this southern region of Poland. Aside from the competitive element of the suite, the various patterns of physical dexterity - dancing with hatchets or passing them under the legs - also signify a close relationship between Polish and other Slavic Highlander's Traditions.
